Alice Caroline Rector, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the age of 96.  She was born December 3, 1920 and was a member of Barberton First Church of Christ. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Rector.  They were married for 64 years.  Many of those years were enjoyed at the house they built up at Lake Erie entertaining many families and friends, where many happy times and great memories were made.  Alice was also preceded in death by her sons, Larry and Ron and son-in-law, Bob Schlagenhauser.   She is survived by her children, Barb Schlagenhauser, Duane (Claudia), Dan (Julie) and Shirley Evans; daughters-in-law, Carole and Pat; 12 grandchildren, Greg (Cheryl), Don (Nancy), Michelle Wilson, Vernon, Sherry Gross (Bob), Debbie Candle (Kirk), Robbie (Michelle), Susie (Andy), Bryan (Danika), Steve (Mandi), Justin (Rachel) and Eric (Annie); 27 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Hughes; along with many other relatives and friends.  Alice lived a long and happy life involved with her family and friends by whom she will be deeply missed. VISITATION TONIGHT (TUESDAY) AT THE BARBERTON FIRST CHURCH OF CHRIST, 552 HARVARD AVE., BARBERTON 44203 FROM 5 TO 7 P.M. and also Wednesday from 12 Noon to 1 p.m. followed by her funeral service at 1 p.m. with Jeremy Klein officiating.  Burial Greenlawn Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Barberton First Church of Christ Lighting Fund.
