Dolores E. Martin (nee Ganslow) died peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the age of 93. Dolores was born on May 21, 1924, in Dunkirk, New York.  Although she moved from New York State in 1971, she always viewed Dunkirk as her home and it held many fond memories for her.  It was in Dunkirk that she graduated from High School before attending Albany State Teachers College, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, after which she taught high school business at her alma mater for five years.  In 1951 she married Gene and they shared 57 wonderful years together until he passed away in 2008. Due to Gene’s career with Ford Motor Company, after New York State, they lived in Ohio and Michigan.  In 1988 they lived out a lifelong ambition and retired to Florida where they enjoyed 11 years before moving back to Ohio in 1999. Dolores was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and enjoyed nothing more than having all the family together for holiday meals. She spent her life centered on family until incapacitated by illness in her later years.Dolores is survived by son, James P. (Theresa) Martin, Joel M. (Deborah) Martin and daughter, Cheryl J. Stask as well as grandchildren, James M. (Jessica) Martin, Michael J. (Heather) Stask, Daniel Stask, Stephanie J. Martin, Stephen M. (Sarah) Martin, Pamela (Chance) Kleineke, Kristen D. Martin, and Kevin Stask.  In addition, she had eight-great-grandchildren, Samantha, Addison, and Cooper Stask, Carter and Ava Kleineke, Joel and Eli Martin and Liana Martin. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 17th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave. Barberton 44203.  Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, January 18th at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church.  Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204 Sixth St., N.W. Barberton, Ohio 44203.
