Wadsworth/Norton-Fred H. Collins, 90, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee on January 1, 1926, he was a resident of Norton for most of his life, moving to Wadsworth 12 years ago. Fred was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and retired from Great Northern Saving in 1985.  Fred was a 60-year member and past Master of National Lodge #568 F&AM, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Valley of Akron, Portage Chapter #202 R.A.M., Tadmor Temple, Barberton Elks Club and Copley United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by his son, Freddie and wife, Jean; Fred is survived by his daughters, Cindy Lee (Albert) Schmitt and Holly A. Cochran; grandchildren, Leanne J. Clark-Shirley (Andy), John (Danni) Schmitt and Matthew Schmitt; sister, Mary Jo Nicol; along with other family members and friends. Funeral service will be held Monday 12 Noon at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with Rev. Dan Hanson officiating.  Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with military honors.  Fred’s family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater East Ohio Area Chapter, 70 West Streetsboro St., Suite 201, Hudson, Ohio 44236.
