Cuyahoga Falls - Glen Harland Heath, 85, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016. He was born May 8, 1931 in Barberton, Ohio to the late Eber and Edith Heath and was a graduate of Barberton High School, Class of 1949.  Glen graduated from the University of Florida, February 1962 with a BS in Engineering.  He served in the U.S. Coast Guard-Aviation Electronics 2nd Class.  He retired from the U.S. Civil Service in June 1993 having worked with NASA, Honeywell, Pratt Whitney, Dept. of A.F. and contract administration. Glen enjoyed sports, researching genealogy out in Indiana and spending time with family and friends. He will be missed dearly. Besides his parents, he’s preceded by cherished son, David Heath; survived by son, J.D. Heath; daughters, Amy (Trey) Weeks and Alva Walker; grandchildren, David, Jason, Jaime, Hayden and Sienna; beloved sister, Florence Monroe; nephew, Roger Monroe (Janie); niece, Cathy (Danny) Miller; great-nephew, Matthew; great-nieces, Melanie, Tara and Wendy.  Good friend, “Ted” and numerous other family and friends that he cherished. Services will be held Monday, April 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with military honors.  In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made to a charity of one’s choice in memory of Glen.
