Janice E. Johns, 83, passed into God’s hands on Sunday, December 31, 2017. She will be reunited with her husband, Charles; sisters, Betty, Margaret and June; brother, Sonny; and her twin, James. Janice was born on January 11, 1934 in Rochester, NY.  Janice married her first love, Charles Derwin Johns in September of 1950 who preceded her in death in 2011.  She was as devoted and loving mother to her only son, Gary Johns. Janice took great pride in taking care of her family and loved caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She enjoyed spending time with her siblings, nieces and their families.  It wasn’t a party if Aunt Jannie wasn’t there.  Janice was a kind, selfless woman who always put others needs ahead of her own.  She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Janice is survived by her son, Gary Johns; grandchildren, Shannon (Paul) Hornacek, Kelley Johns, Nikki Johns, and Steven (Kaylee) Johns; nieces, Bonnie, Judy, Linda, Kathy, Christine and their families; along with numerous other family, friends and loved ones. Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 4th at 3 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave, Barberton 44203 with Pastor Mike Prebynski officiating. A memorial dinner will follow.  Janice will be laid to rest by her husband, Charles at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
