Jeanne Grace (Starn) Pidcock Obradovich, 91, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016. Born December 21, 1924 at the family home in “Johnson’s Corners”. Jeanne was a graduate of Barberton High School.  She worked at Columbia Chemical for a year then decided to go into nurses training.  She was part of the Cadet Nursing Corps till the end of World War II and graduated from Akron City Hospital School of Nursing as an R.N.  Jeanne was employed first by Barberton Citizens Hospital, then Wright Patterson Air Force Base, returning to the area to finish at Barberton Citizens Hospital, where she taught Surgical Technicians at both BCH and the University of Akron. Jeanne was happiest as a wife and homemaker. Preceded in death by husbands, George Pidcock and Steve Obradovich; survived by daughter, Karen (Greg) Price; stepsons, Thomas (Judith), Sam, Bob and Carl (Colleen) Obradovich; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Ina Yoon) Price and Michael (Coleen) Price Sr.; great-grandchildren, Michael Jr., Ara and James Price; brother, James “Bud” (Julia) Starn; nephews, Kevin (Debbie) Starn and Kirk Starn; along with many other nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staffs at The Briarwood in Stow and The Merriman in Akron for the kindness and loving care that Mom received. Funeral service will be held Monday 11 a.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ, 915, N. Main St., Akron, Ohio 44310 with Rev. Joan Ishibashi officiating.  Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  Jeanne’s family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 5 at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 and also one hour prior to the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ.
