Barberton – Lois W. Sturgill, 90, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 15, 2016. A resident of Barberton for most of her life, Lois retired from the Barberton City Schools after 17 years of service.  She was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church and T.O.P.S. 595 Norton. Preceded in death by her husband, Denver Sturgill; survived by her sons, Bruce of Barberton and Mark of Portland, Oregon; grandsons, Brett and Matthew Sturgill of Portland, Oregon; “adopted” daughter, Kim Nutter and friends. Funeral service will be held Monday 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with Pastor Fred Higgins officiating.  Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  Lois’ family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeview United Methodist Church, 311 Third St. N.W., Barberton 44203 in her memory.
