Norman D. "Butch" Burgner

Norman D. “Butch” Burgner, 77, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018. He was a life resident of Barberton and a graduate of Barberton High School, Class of 1958.  He retired from Norman D. Lake Erie Charters with his brother, Dave.  Butch was a life member of the Barberton Elks Lodge #982, First Hungarian Benefit Society and Barberton Moose Lodge #759.  He also was a member of Barberton First Church of Christ. Preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Letha Burgner; survived by his wife of 56 years, Sherry; son, Michael (Amy) Burgner; daughter, Valerie Burgner; brother, Dave Burgner; nephew, David (Michell) Burgner; along with other relatives and many friends. Butch’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 28th at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  A private graveside service will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Justin T. Roger Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron, Ohio 44333.
