Randy Cline Obituary

Randy Keith Cline, 70, passed away in the early morning hours on Saturday, April 7, 2018 after several years of battling congestive heart failure and COPD. He was born March 20, 1948, the only child of Kenneth and Alma Cline. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his former wife, Glenna as well as his second wife, Cherrie (Lloyd) Cline. He is survived by his wife, Sue (Parsons) Cline and his children, Glenn (Pat) Cline, Michael (Savannah) Cline, Ashley Cline and Kellie (Josh) Terry; his five grandsons, Ryan (Carli), Brandon (Amanda), Michael, Caleb and Lucas and step-granddaughter, Ella. He also leaves his step-children, Robert (Samantha) Parsons, Mary (Gene) Parsons and Margaret (Robert) Himes and step-grandchildren, Bobby and Abigail Parsons and Robert Himes; along with other relatives and many friends.Randy was a proud member of the 1966 graduating class of Barberton High School. He enlisted in the Navy and served aboard the aircraft carrier, Ticonderoga during the Viet Nam War. He was a long distance truck driver and worked for several companies prior to retiring from Roadway. After retirement he worked as Sextent at the First Presbyterian Church for several years. Randy was a member of Barberton First Baptist Church, member and Past Master of National Lodge #568 F&AM and 32 Degree Scottish Rite Valley of Akron. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 11th at 12 Noon at Barberton First Baptist, 254 Sixth Street, Barberton 44203 with Pastor Mike Prebynski officiating. Burial to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with military honors. Randy’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 10th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with a Masonic service at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Randy’s name to the Magical Theatre Company, 565 W. Tuscarawas Ave., Barberton, Ohio 44203.
