Ronald “Ron” Sturm

New Franklin – Ronald “Ron” Sturm, 69, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016. He was resident of California for 42 years, moving to New Franklin, two years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Viet Nam Era.  Ron was owner/operator of Carpet Care of Silicon Valley.  He enjoyed umpiring middle school and high school softball and baseball and refereeing basketball. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie and brothers, Mike and Pete; survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol; daughter, Becky (Greg) Genna; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Judy Smith and Gary (Lois) Van Buskirk; along with other relatives and friends.A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 27th at 2 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203.
