Carolyn A. Castaldo

Carolyn A. Castaldo, 70, of The Villages, Florida, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018.Carolyn was born January 29, 1948 in Barberton, Ohio to the late Clifford and Mary (Baker) Getz. She was a graduate of Barberton High School, Class of 1966.  Carolyn moved to The Villages in 2008 from Broadview Heights, Ohio.  She was a member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, a board member of the Parents in the House Support Group, Diabetes Support Group and helped with Operation Shoebox.  Carolyn also enjoyed playing cards, Mahjong and practicing Yoga.Survived by her loving husband of 42 years, John; children, Karen Castaldo (Jon Jacobson) and Angela Long (Mark Long); sister, Frances Getz; along with other relatives and many friends.Carolyn’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 8th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton and also on Thursday, August 9th from 9 to 9:30 a.m. procession to follow for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine Catholic Church.  Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.donate3.cancer.org or the American Diabetes Association, www.donations.diabetes.org.
