Karlene J. 'Tootie" (Inch) Scott

 Karlene J. “Tootie” Scott, 79, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018.She was born in Akron on June 28, 1938 to the late Ida (Smith) and Clarence Inch and was a life resident of the Barberton area. Tootie was a graduate of Barberton High School, Class of 1956 and was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple. Preceded in death by her sister, Lenora (Inch) Homan; daughter-in-law, Karen Scott and grandchildren Steven and Shanna Kuhn. Tootie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ronald; children, Susan (Steven) Kuhn, Mark Scott, Ronald (Connie) Scott Jr., Lynn (Wayne) Betchel and Leigh (Greg) Matheny; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Carroll; brothers-in-law, Robert Scott of Louisville, KY and Tracy (Sandy) Scott; sisters-in-law, Nancy Freed and Janice Scott; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Funeral service will be held Monday, March 5, at 4 p.m. at the Akron Baptist Temple, 2324 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44314 with Rev. Ed Holland officiating.  Tootie’s family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of service.  Inurnment will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
