Mary Lou Sutton, 91, a woman of faith and love, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 3, 2019.Born in Wilsonburg, W.Va. on January 19, 1928, she and her husband, Burl, made Barberton their home, where she lived for 65 magic years. She was a longtime member of Lakeview United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and Magic City Democrats.Mary Lou believed in the power of love. She loved her family and church beyond measure. Grounded in her steadfast commitment to the Lord, she lived her life striving to help others in Jesus’ name. Kind and compassionate, determined and strong, she was truly a reflection of God’s love here on earth.She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.Preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Leo Burl Sutton and sister, Joanne Ross; survived by her children, Jim Sutton, Richard (Anis) Sutton, Cindy Sutton, Dan (Bonnie) Sutton, Bob (Becky) Sutton and Betty (Doug Corwon) Sutton; 20 beloved grandchildren; many precious great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.Mary Lou’s funeral service will be held Friday, March 8th at 11 a.m. at Lakeview United Methodist Church, 211 Third St. N.W., Barberton with Pastor Fred Higgins officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 7th at Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W.
