Meveryn Pinder, 76, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018. Meveryn valued family above everything else and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was raised in Akron and graduated from Garfield High School in 1959. She married her high-school sweetheart, Robert, and had four children. She was an extraordinary cook and baker and loved expressing her creativity through quilting, knitting and embroidery. After her husband passed away in 2002, she was blessed to find a man special enough to join her life with and enjoy a second chance at love. John Pinder has been a faithful and loving husband and will truly miss her companionship. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Justice; brother, John Shaver; sister, Evelyn Sheakley and grandchildren, Adam, Josh and Laura Spilker; she is survived by husband, John Pinder; daughters, Jan (Rick) Jacobson, Kim (Mohammed) Al-Abid, Robin (Don August) Spilker; son, David (Julie) Justice; stepsons, David and Donovan Pinder; grandchildren, Shemsa Al-Abid, Khalid (Lauren) Al-Abid, Melissa (Mark) Trew, Nathan Justice, Rachel (Ethan) Schenck, Meghan (Erik) Hawk, Ian Justice and Emily Spilker. She had six great-grandchildren and was expecting two more this summer. Meveryn’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 2nd from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203. Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, May 4th at 10 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Road, Uniontown, Ohio 44685 with Fr. David R. Durkee, celebrant. Burial to follow at Manchester Cemetery.
