Barberton – Ronald L. Ladd, 76, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017.  He was born in Barberton on November 22, 1940 to the late Phillip and Maxine (Alward) Ladd. Ron retired from Ford Motor Company, Walton Hills Stamping Plant, UAW with 38 years of service. Dad coached, umpired and refereed; football, baseball, basketball and bowling for the greater part of his life, for Highland Park, Kenmore, Stow, Barberton and Immaculate Conception. In addition he played softball, golfed and bowled on many leagues.  He never met a stranger and there could never be too much sports. Daddy always provided more than we needed, protected us to the end of the earth, but most important he made sure us girls never doubted for a minute of our entire lives that we were loved by him.  He was always there to cheer us on, help us solve a problem, share his wonderful laughter or catch our tears. He wasn’t just a father – he was a Daddy!  Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Phillip and niece, Stephanie Ladd.  He leaves to mourn, the love of his life for 58 years, Barbara Jean (Phillips); daughters, Victoria Hamby (Chad Green) and Ronda (Brian) Norman; grandchildren, Alexander Norman (Sarah), Ashley (Austin) Nicholas, Grace Hamby, Austin Norman and Alexis Norman; brother, Brian (Sue) Ladd; along with other relatives and many friends. Following daddy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Our “Superman” has fought his last battle and taken his last flight….rest now daddy. To honor daddy’s life-make a difference in a child’s life.
