Sandra M. Hastings

Sandra M. Hastings, 79, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018.She was born on April 14, 1939 to the late Steven and Ruth Savic. A life resident of Barberton, Sandra held many jobs in the area, one being with P.P.G. Industries for 15 years.  Her greatest commitment was taking care of her family and granddaughter. A graduate of Barberton High School, she also attended part-time studies at Akron and Kent State Universities.  She was a Past Worthy Advisor of Barberton Rainbow Girls, a 50-Year member of Jeannette Chapter, O.E.S. and a 60-Year member of Saint Andrew’s Church.Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Steve Savic and most devoted husband of 44 years, Fred.  She is survived by her greatest achievement in life, son, Brian (Shiloh); granddaughter, Mackenzie; step-grandson, Anthony; longtime childhood friend, Carmen Lowe of Kent; extended family and many friends.Per Sandra’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and a private burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.In her memory, give someone you love – A Hug!
