Arliss “Arlie” G. Cox, 91, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. He was born in Barberton on May 14, 1932 to the late Clarence and Eleanor Cox. Arliss was a U.S. Air Force veteran during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan.He retired from PPG Industries with 32 years of service. Arlie was a member of the Christ Church of Louisville where he and his wife taught Sunday school with “The Builders Class”. Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jeannine Lemon. Arlie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Judith A. Cox; sons, Ronald (Lydia) Cox and Gerald A. (Kelleen) Cox; daughter, Laura Barber (Cox); eight grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends. Funeral service for Arlie will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with Pastor Ted Fellows officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 Noon until time of his service.
