Barbara J. August

Barbara “Barb” J. August, 84, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024. A life resident of Barberton, she retired from Acme with 37 years of service and then retired from the City of Barberton, where she ran the elevator at the Barberton Health Department. Barb was a member of Barberton VFW Post #1066. Preceded in death by her husband, Stephen; son, John; siblings, Paulette Baliga, Stosh Guysik and Lenny Guysik. She is survived by her children, Kurt (Valerie) August, Keith August and Karen (Chris) Carneal; grandsons, John, Nick and Josh; brother, Rich Guysik; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Inurnment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
