Barbara A. Knight, 77, of Barberton, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021 with her family by her side. She was born on November 9, 1944 in Brownton, West Virginia. After graduating high school, Barbara married and moved to Barberton, where she raised her family and lived for 54 years. She was a homemaker while her children were young, then worked as a nursery attendant at Charger Lanes for many years. She also had a small sewing business, doing work for Liniform and many people near and far. Barbara’s greatest joy was taking care of her family. She was truly unselfish in her love, always putting others before herself. She spoke of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with pride, often showing their pictures to people she met. Barbara enjoyed sewing and quilting, gardening, playing bingo and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy with her daughter. Preceded in death by her parents, Charles Hoffman and Bonnie (Dave) McCord; sisters, Lucy Walker and Robina McCord; husband, Charles Knight and daughter, Melissa Knight. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kristie Williams Hahn (Chris); grandchildren, Jessica Williams (Jon), Adam Williams (Angel) and Eric (Ivori) Spartan; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Tippel-Williams and Charlie Spartan; brother, Mike (Paulette) Hoffman; brothers-in-law, Arthur (Caroline) Knight and Buddy McCord; sisters-in-law, Betty (Leonard) Ross, Ruby (Bob) Pyle and Elnora Trader; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Due to current circumstances masks are REQUIRED and social distancing will be observed. Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, with Pastor Matt Williams officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Barbara’s family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
