Benjamin "Ben" Wathey Jr.

Benjamin “Ben” Wathey, Jr. 88, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on Thursday, October 19, 2023. Ben was born in Norton, Ohio on December 27, 1934. He was a lifelong resident of Norton and served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. Ben is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Dolores; sister, Betty Rader; children, Linda Ashcraft, Ben (Debbie) Wathey and Joe (Erica) Wathey; grandchildren, Brandon Wathey and Todd Ashcraft; and great-grandchild, Walter Wathey. Ben was preceded in death by his brother, Ernie Wathey. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration and Remembrance of Ben on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Nauti Vine Winery, 3950 S. Main Street, Akron, Ohio 44319.
