Betty J. (Smith) Lane

Betty J. Lane, 64, passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. She was born June 7, 1957 in Barberton. Betty loved camping and the outdoors and served as a Girl Scout Leader for 25 years. Preceded in death by her parents, Howard K. and Mary F. Smith; husband, Ollen E. Lane and sister, Christine Campbell. Betty is survived by her son, John Lane; daughter, Francis (Harry) Jackson; grandchildren, Bryanna (Declan) Jackson, Alyssa Lane (Robert Sbory), Cheyanne Jackson (Kaylina VanPelt) Destiney Jackson and Emma Jackson; siblings, Karen (Jeff) McClure, Dorothy (Jesse) Workman, Norma (Ray) Hoefler, William (Tina) Smith and Clifford Smith; along with numerous great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends. Betty’s funeral service will be held Saturday, November 20th at 4 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton with Pastor Robert Shank Jr. officiating.The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of service.
