On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, we said our final goodbyes to a remarkable woman, Billie Jo Garrett, who passed away at the age of 70, with her daughters and sister lovingly by her side. Billie cherished life’s simple pleasures, such as spending time with her family, relaxing with her beloved dog, “Gracie” and above all, embracing her role as a “Meme”. Billie’s extraordinary kindness and boundless patience left a lasting impact on the many lives she touched. She concluded a lifelong career in home care, where her innate gift was making anyone she encountered feel like family. Billie is survived by her daughters, Michelle Garrett (Rob Davis) and Tracie Garrett; her grandchildren, Desirae (Michael) Eisenhauer, Kodey Davis, Dakota Crew, Keenan Davis, Julie Crew and Sarrah Davis; and her great-grandchildren, Carter Crew, Karoline Davis and Cameron Eisenhauer. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara (Harold) Bachtel, her niece, Kimberly Bachtel and sister-in-law, Barbara (Larry) Patterson. In honoring Billie’s wishes, we will not hold a traditional memorial service at this time. Instead, a celebration of her life will be organized for a later date, where we can gather to commemorate the extraordinary person she was and the love she shared with us all. As we remember Billie Jo Garrett, let us keep her kindness and her ability to create bonds with others as a lasting testament to the beautiful soul she was. Her legacy of love and family will forever be etched in our hearts.
