Carl Nicholas Smith

Carl Nicolas Smith, 83, of Medina, passed from this life into eternity Friday, November 15, 2024, after a brief illness  Born August 16, 1941, in Barberton, Ohio, to Clyde and Hilda (Jones) Smith, Carl was known for his soft heart and mailing birthday cards. He enjoyed boating, fishing, watching sporting events, and spending time with family and close friends. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Korea. He worked in various industries, including meat cutting and managing small businesses. Carl lived for 50 years in Arizona, raising three sons there. He retired to live in Medina, Ohio, in 2019. Preceded in death by life-partner, Zila Cox. He is survived by sons, Scott and wife, Kristen of Peoria, Arizona, Craig and wife, Carol of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Brad of Scottsdale, Arizona; grandchildren, Scout, Bella, Talon, Dolly, and Daniel; siblings, Lucille and husband, Tom Brenner of Copley, Donna and husband, Jim Spencer of Gold Canyon, Arizona, and Gene and wife, April of Medina; and numerous extended family and loved ones. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at Orrville Christian Church on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to Polaris Christian Church, Brunswick, Ohio.
