Carol M. (Matheny) Holt

Carol M. Holt (Matheny), 84, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Born in West Virginia, she was a resident of Barberton for over 65 years. Carol was a graduate of Barberton High School, Class of 1958 and was employed by Knudson Jewelers for 20 years. Preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Audrey Matheny; son, Mark and sister, Patricia. Survived by her husband of 64 years, Sam; sons, Jeff and Gary of Barberton; grandchildren, Brittany (Cody) Janis of Copley and Jeffrey Holt (Mariah); great-grandchildren, Veah, Scarlett and Sage; sisters, Joyce (Mark) Surgen, Jean (Wayne) Leiddy and Gretchen (John) Newton; brothers, Greg (Leigh) Matheny and Tim (Nancy) Matheny; along with many nieces and nephews. Carol’s funeral service will be held Monday, February 26, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with Pastor Billy Kremer officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.
