Carole A. Miller

Carole A. Miller, 75, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024.  She was born on September 5, 1948 in Akron, Ohio. Carole was a graduate of Barberton High School, Class of 1966 and was also a 1969 graduate of Akron General School of Nursing. She was employed at Barberton Citizens Hospital in Labor and Delivery as a R.N. from 1969 to 1971 and then Wooster Community Hospital as a R.N. in Labor and Delivery from 1972 to 1974. Carole was then employed by Salinas General Hospital in Salinas, California as a Surgical Nurse.  She then was employed by Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital as an Emergency Room nurse, retiring in 1982. She was preceded in death by her father, Mac White Jr. and mother, Mary Schmel; brother, Kevin Schmel; father and mother-in-law, Mike C. and Alma D. Miller. Carole is survived by her husband of 56 years, William C. Miller; daughter, Kimberly (Kirk) Keller; grandchildren, Andrew Downs and Sonya Keller; brother, Terry Schmel; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Carole’s memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203, with Rev. Mr. Robin Adair, Deacon officiating. Her family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 1 p.m.
