Carolyn J. (Hendricks) Benko

Carolyn J. (nee Hendricks) Benko, 75, passed away at her home, surrounded by family on Friday, August 2, 2024. She was born on February 15, 1949 in Barberton, Ohio and was of graduate of Barberton High School, Class of 1968. Carolyn met her husband, Michael Benko and raised their children in McClellandtown, Pennsylvania. They moved to Doylestown in 1999 to take care of her mother, Virginia. Preceded in death by her parents, Clate and Virginia Hendricks Sr.; brother, Larry Hendricks; husband, Michael Benko Sr. and niece, Stephanie Hendricks. She is survived by daughter, Melissa (Chris) Grimes; son, Michael Benko Jr.; grandchildren, Tristan, Hunter and Hope Grimes; brothers, Clate Jr., (Carol), Stan (Susan) and Kevin (Cindy) Hendricks; nieces and nephew, Christy Melert, Clate Hendricks III and Jessica Hendricks; along with other relatives and friends. Carolyn’s funeral service will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton, Ohio 44203 with Rev. Rod Grabski officiating. Burial to follow at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 11, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
