Charles "Chuck" J. Ratcliff Jr.

Charles “Chuck” J. Ratcliff Jr., 61, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022. He was a resident of Barberton for 54 years and was a U.S. Army Reserve Veteran. Chuck was a graduate of Barberton High School, Class of 1979 and worked at the Barberton Herald. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid Steelers Fan, caring for his beloved dog, “Baby Girl” and volunteering at the Salvation Army. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles J. Ratcliff Sr. and Martha L. Ratcliff Ady; infant daughter, Amber Sharier; brother, Ozzie Ratcliff; grandparents, Orville and Josephine Ratcliff and Robert and Louise Cannady and nephew, Billy Ray Buchanan. Chuck is survived by his brother, Chester Ratcliff; sisters, KellyJo Holmes, Kathy (Bill) Buchanan and Shannon Ady; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Following Chuck’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no services.
