Daniel James Baker- incredible father, son, brother, and friend unexpectedly ‘blew this popsicle stand’ Tuesday May 8, 2024. Preceded in death are too many of the good ones to list-while they are happy to see him- they aren’t too thrilled he showed up so soon. Survived by his father William (Deborah) Baker, Sister Angela (Chris) Pizzedaz along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He THRIVED for his two children, his world- Lacey (Tanner), and Masen. As a kid Dan was a kind hearted, yet quiet big brother- but would always be keeping a watchful eye on his sister. It wasn’t until his high school years that Dan would literally find his voice- with encouragement from his choir teacher Ms. Bellamy- he gained the confidence and was performing in the Madrigals and even going on to be the school mascot - The Kenmore Cardinal. After High School Dan enlisted in the United States Army and after an honorable discharge his life got super fun when he landed a job at Cedar Point on the Iron Dragon. It was from that moment on Dan didn’t know a stranger- unless you were affiliated with the ‘team up North’ as he would always say with disgust. (O-H - I-O!!) After multiple seasons at Cedar point, he moved all over - Pennsylvania, LasVegas, and Orlando- amassing all kinds of new family- some in every corner of the globe. However it wasn’t until Dan met Sara Marie that he would get to take on his favorite, most precious and prestigious role - Lacey and Masens Dad. Dan loved his children with every fiber of his being. Nothing made his heart more happy or full than being present and caring for his family. Calling hours will be May 26 at Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home 566 W. Park Ave. Barberton 44203 from 2-4 p.m. immediately following calling hours we will go to Ohio Veterans’ Memorial Park for Dan’s final resting place.
