Dan Johnson, 64, of Barberton, Ohio passed away December 8th, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. Dan was born in Akron Ohio to parents Earl & Ola Johnson. He was a graduate of Manchester High School, class of 1975. Dan was a concrete finisher with the local 109 plaster and cement masons union. Dan was a hardworking man that loved and was proud of his wife, kids, and grandkids. A great outdoorsman, Dan loved to hunt and fish. He took pride in his accomplishments and loved to teach someone how to do a job or project, making sure to “show them how to do it the right way”! One of the best storytellers and with a love of playing the guitar and fiddle, he was full of entertainment. He was such a fighter, always up for a challenge. He had a true heart of gold and had great words of wisdom to live by; always with something to show or tell every time you saw him. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Leslie; daughter Julie; son Kyle (Rachel); grandchildren Aaron, Isabelle, Clayton, & Hunter; and siblings Bob, Pat, Mike, & John. Preceded in death by parents Ola & Earl Johnson and son-in-law Nathan Preston. Special thanks to the Falls Cancer Club, staff of Parkview Pavilion, and the ICU staff at both City & Barberton hospitals. A private service will be held for the family on Sunday, December 13th.
