Daniel "Dan" R. Harris

Dan Harris lost his battle with cancer on Friday, January 31, 2025. Preceded in death by his father, David Harris and mother, Rae Harris. Dan is survived by his brother, David (Kelly) Harris; sister, Ronda (Rob) Robinson; nieces and nephews, Amanda, Jamie, Taylor, Shelby and Ben, who will greatly miss their “Uncle Dan-Dan”; his six great-nieces and great-nephews and by his best friend and companion, “Charly” Dan was a graduate of Barberton High School, Class of 1979.  He was an amazing and talented artist. At the age of 16 he started his own T-Shirt business and went on to manufacturing signs. When he wasn’t at work he could be found fishing in his backyard pond with “Charly” by his side. He loved spending Wednesday night having a drink with a group of his female cousins. For over 45 years his Thursday nights were reserved for poker night with the same group of men he referred to as his “Poker Buddies”. Dan could turn even your worst days around with his jovial personality and infectious smile. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. An announcement will be made at a later date for a “Celebration of Life” for Dan.
