David W. August

David W. August, 87, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Born in Barberton on September 10, 1937 to the late Joseph G. and Helen M. August. David retired from Babcock and Wilcox as a welder. Preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Offord; brothers, Phil and James August and sister, Gloria Kurjian. David is survived by his wife of 66 years, Helen; children, David (Barbara) Smith, Mark (Pamela) August, Brad (Colleen) August, Michael (Kimberly) August, James (Diane) Collins, Matthew August (Wendy) and Daniel August (Patrick Derr); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn Zampano of California and Sandra Messner of Barberton and brother, John (Mary Ann) August of Green. David’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Ashland County Memorial Park Chapel, 1058 U.S. Hwy 250, Ashland, Ohio 44805 with Fr. Jim Winings officiating. Where entombment will follow.
