Dawn Elizabeth Snyder (nee Huffman) passed away peacefully on Monday, July 22, 2024 at the age of 63 after several years of declining health. Her companion of 30 years, Jim and son, James were by her side. Dawn was born on February 23, 1961 to Lyle and Bonnie Huffman in Barberton. She was a 1980 graduate of Barberton High School. Dawn lived in Barberton with her companion of 30 years, Jim and their son, James. As a teenager and into her twenties Dawn faithfully attended Covenant Baptist Church in Barberton with her brother David and his family. She loved her church family and rarely missed a Sunday, especially when her brother David sang. She was led to the Lord and baptized at age 17. Dawn also loved to crochet and she spent many hours making afghans for every member of the family, even her brother Doug’s family who lived in Florida! Dawn was thrilled with James’ accomplishments in school and was actively involved in his education. She never missed anything he participated in and was extremely proud at his high school graduation. Dawn had an extreme love of all animals. Her love was not limited to her own pets, but also extended to pets of family and friends. She even rescued birds and bunnies and other animals in need. As her health declined her cats Millie, Cheetor and Nikki brought her great comfort. Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Bonnie Huffman, brothers, David and Denny, nephew, Derek, husband, Bob Snyder and numerous other family members. She leaves to cherish her memory, her companion of 30 years, Jim Brown and their son, James, brother, Doug (Susan) Huffman and sister-in-law, Lori Huffman. She also leaves sister-in-law, Cindy (Bob) Fisher, brother-in-law, Kenny (Marlene) Brown and mother-in-law, Jean Allison. She also leaves nieces, Erica (Matt) Price, their children, Logan, Addison, Camden, Jessica (Nick) Huffman, Alyssa (Anthony) Fiorello, their daughter, Ava, nephews, Joshua (Elizabeth) Huffman, their children, Noah, Hannah, Harrison, Greyson and Adam (Ashley) Huffman their son, David and also nephew Dustin Huffman. She also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, especially Kim and Diny who visited her often. Dawn’s funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with Pastor Mike Prebynski officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of her service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to, One of a Kind Pets, 1929 W.
