Dennis G. Metheney

Dennis G. Metheney, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 28, 2025. He was born on January 20, 1940 in Chloe, West Virginia to the late Estel and Leo Metheney, and was a resident of Norton for 60 years. He retired as a long distance truck driver. Preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry and Norman Metheney and granddaughter, Elissa Garland. Survived by wife, Gail Metheney; children, Jill (Kenny) Price and Dennis (Elizabeth) Metheney; grandchildren, Kenny, Kara, Ean and Ethan; great grandchildren, J.J., Steven, Hunter, and Malachi; siblings, Dean (Linda), Dale (Karen), Judy, Mark (Sandy), Jean and Sidney; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dennis’ funeral service will be held on Friday January 2, 2026 at 6 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton with Pastor Erik Swanson officiating. His family will receive friends on Friday 4 p.m. until time of the service. Burial will take place on Saturday at Metheney Ridge Cemetery in Chloe, West Virginia.
