Dennis "Denny" James Ferrell

Dennis “Denny” James Ferrell went home to his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 8, 2022, unexpectedly at the age of 69, to be reunited with his loving wife, Becky. Denny was born on March 29, 1953, to Donald and Dorothy (Brumbaugh) Ferrell in Cuyahoga Falls. He graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School and received an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, and a degree from Moody Theological Institute. Denny began his professional career at Americhem then traveled the world-wide as General Manager of Business Development for Advanced Composites.  He always went above and beyond for his co-workers and clients, making friends wherever he travelled. Denny was an incredibly generous and giving person.  He frequently shared his love of cooking with friends and family. His home was always open to all. As a member of the Chapel in Green, Denny served as a small group leader sharing his faith and knowledge with others in his home. He was also a member of the men’s group and often helped at the church camp.  Denny also served many years at the First Baptist Church of Barberton as a deacon, Sunday School teacher and youth leader. Denny is survived by his son, Brian; beloved grandson, Hayden; brother, Richard (Wendy); brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Barb Betz; nieces and nephews, Mike Betz (Theresa), Kim Sherman (Jim), Matt Ferrell (Melissa) and Jeff Ferrell; many great nieces and nephews; and special friends, Irene Swallen, Karen Hill, and Autumn Andrella and family. Denny is preceded in death by his loving wife, Becky; parents, Donald and Dorothy (Brumbaugh) and brother, David Ferrell. Denny was loved by so many. His positive outlook, generous spirit, unwavering faith and his kind heart left an impression wherever he went.  He never met a stranger that did not quickly become a friend. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the Chapel in Green (1800 Raber Rd., Uniontown, Ohio 44685).  Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. The funeral will begin at 5:00 pm (please enter the “D” doors) with Pastor Dale Saylor presiding. A private family burial will take place later. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chapel Green/Camp Carl scholarship fund.
