Gail B. Wehling, RN - (10/11/1940 – 8/22/2024)

Departed this earth and joined the Lord just 20 hours apart at The Village of St. Edwards, Wadsworth, Ohio. Don was born in Barberton, Ohio to Theodore and Myrtle (Bird) Wehling. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University Medical School. Don practiced for many years at Barberton Citizens Hospital as a board-certified anesthesiologist and served as Chief of Staff. Additionally, he served his country with honor as a member of the United States Airforce during Vietnam. Gail was born in Burlington, Vermont to Harold and Louise Bristol. She received her Board Registration of Nurses from Vermont. She worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Thomas Hospital and Akron City Hospital. Don and Gail met at Burlington Hospital, Vermont when he was a medical resident, and she was a nursing student. They were married on November 5, 1960 in Vergennes, Vermont. They are survived by son, Jay (Karla) Wehling of Wadsworth, Ohio; grandsons, Derek (Shelby) Wehling of Barberton, Ohio and Logan Wehling of Columbus, Ohio. They were preceded in death by their eldest son, Don W. Wehling, Jr. on August 9, 2015. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at The Village of St. Edwards for their exceptional and loving care. We appreciate them beyond words. Cremation has taken place. Per their request, there will be a private service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in their name to One of a Kind Pet Rescue, Akron, Ohio.
