Dorene G. Funk

Dorene G. Funk, 74, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022. She was a life resident of Clinton/Barberton.  Dorene was employed by K-Mart for 27 years and was a cashier at several grocery stores. She was a past member of the Barberton Civitan Club and the Liedertafel Club. Dorene enjoyed the sun, camping, playing bingo, going to casinos and spending time with her family. Preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Funk Jr.; son, Rodney A. Funk and her longtime companion, David Stipe Sr.  She is survived by her children, Rhonda (Scott) Rose, Bonnie Funk, Donna Funk and Donald Funk; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister, Irma George; sister-in-law, Dolly Thomas; along with other relatives and friends. She lets you know you mean so much, and even when apart – A mother’s love makes home a place you cherish in your heart. Dorene’s funeral service will be held Thursday, March 17th at 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton with Pastor Mike Prebynski officiating. Burial at Clinton Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and family TONIGHT (Wednesday) from 5 to 7 p.m.
