Dorothy Zimmerman passed away, Tuesday, April 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and the countless lives she touched throughout her journey.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Bob; her loving children, Rick (Jeanne), Terrie (Dave), Mike and Scott (Nikki); her sisters, Vickie McGhee (Ron) and Maureen Drake (Dave); as well as the many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also leaves behind dozens of others she welcomed into her life as family.
Dorothy lived each day, guided by the golden rule, always placing others before herself. Her kindness, compassion, and quiet strength left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. It would be impossible to count the number of lives she positively influenced or the many people she gently guided onto the right path.
Her family would like to recognize the extraordinary care and devotion she received from her son-in-law, Dave Janus, who had a lovingly committed to her care and well-being. Her daughter, Terrie was truly her guardian angel-extending her life by countless years through her relentless dedication to overseeing her health and remaining faithfully by her side during times of acute illness.
Dorothy‘s legacy is one of love, generosity, and unwavering care for others. A part of her will live on in each and every heart she touched, remembered in the acts of kindness and the warmth she inspired in others.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 13, 2026, at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204 Sixth Street, N.W., Barberton. Calling hours one hour prior to the service at the church.
