Dorothy "Dot" Mae Morter

Dorothy “Dot” Mae Morter, 102 passed away Monday, August 12, 2024. Dot was born on August 5, 1922 in Litchfield, MN to the late Frank and Rose Viren. She graduated from Litchfield High School and then went to St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN where she graduated in 1944. Dorothy came to Barberton, Ohio and worked at Babcock and Wilcox for 28 years retiring in 1972 and was a long time active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Barberton. Dot was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Howard W. Morter; sister, Louise Tostenrud and niece, Kay (Mike) Weber. She is survived by nieces, Holly (Jim) DeVinck, Martha (John) Esbjornsson and Ann Thomas. Dorothy’s funeral service will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203  Rev. Dr. Mark Ruppert officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of her service. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Howard at Glendale Cemetery.
