Edward “Eddie” John Harm, 56, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, was called home to his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 18, 2021. He was born in Barberton, OH, on February 15, 1965. He graduated from Barberton High School in 1983 and then the University of Akron with a BA in Marketing. He was an accomplished professional in the IT world where he held positions in database administration and healthcare security which earned him the nickname of “Dr. Database”. Eddie was a beloved son, brother, and uncle who was endeared by so many in this world. His many loves were the state of Florida, beaches, biking, kayaking, rock and roll music, Cleveland sports (and the Akron Rubber Ducks), the meals he was known for sharing pictures of, and time with friends and family. His bright smile, quick-witted humor, and bear hugs can never be replaced for those who knew him. Heaven got one of the best we have on earth. Eddie is survived by his loving, faithful, and devoted mother, Carol Ann (Brasko) Harm of Barberton; sisters, Julie Holderfield (Shawn) of Copley, Cindy Wilson (Kit) of Norton, Laura Steele (Gary) of Charlotte, NC, Jennifer Harm of Barberton, and his loving nephews, Jacob Harm, Noah Hammond, Dane Steele, and niece, Natalie Steele. He was preceded in death by his father Edward “Ed” Harm of Barberton, who we know was the first person he saw in heaven. Funeral services were held privately for the immediate family, and he was laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. May he rest in peace, Amen.
