Eldin Thomas "Tom" Anderson

Eldin Thomas “Tom” Anderson, 53, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 after a courageous battle with ALS. He was born on March 17, 1972 in Barberton. He graduated from Lake High School and Kent State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Tom retired from Springfield Local Schools with 30 years of service. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and going on walks with his dogs. He was an avid collector of Hoover Vacuum Products and turned the basement into a Hoover Museum. He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda A. Anderson. Tom is survived by his wife of 28 years, Heather; son, Glenn; father, Ernest; sister, Karen (Daniel) Hodakievic; niece, Izzable; nephew, Adam; along with many friends. Tom’s funeral service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton, Ohio 44203 with Rev. Rod Grabski officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Tom’s family will receive friends on Sunday, January 18, 2026 from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be send to the ALS Association at: www.als.org.
