Elsie Ann Gibson

Elsie Ann Gibson, 97, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2025. She was a precious, beloved mother, grand-mother, great-grand-mother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was born in Kenmore, and lived in the Richfield and Barberton area, most of her life. Elsie was a member of River of Life Ministries, for many years. She was a Christian with a loving, and a giving “heart of gold”. She loved having many dinner parties in her home, always joking and laughing, making wonderful memories with family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert W. Gibson; parents Forrest and Bessie Hill (nee Clark), sons, Garland Gibson Sr. and Alan Gibson; sister, Dorris Hill Mortimer; brother-in-law, Jerry Mortimer; brother, Ken Hill; sister-in-law Evelyn (Paul) Bowlby and brother-in-law, Dick (Ella) Gibson. Elsie will be greatly missed by her daughter, Jean Ann Ruble (nee Gibson); grandchildren, Roslynn Gibson, Garland Gibson Jr., Jillian Gibson Krebs (Cody), Ashley Gibson Jones (Josh), Emery Gibson, Frank Gibson; great grandchildren, David Nelson, Dana Nelson Medina (Chooch), Cecilia Risten and Issac Fetter; great-great grandchildren, Lynn Jones, Ally Jones, Cody Krebs Jr., Robert Medina, Rico Medina, Ralynn Medina and Rachel Medina. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11 a.m. at River of Life Ministries, 222 26th St. N.W., Barberton Ohio 44203 with Pastor Paul Martin officiating. Elsie’s family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Inurnment has taken place at West Richfield Cemetery.
