Eric Darnell Paxton

Eric Darnell Paxton, 53, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 20, 2020. He was born on July 3, 1967 in Akron, Ohio. Eric was a graduate of Reynoldsburg High School in Columbus and continued his education at the University of Akron. Eric was the beloved son of Peggy Morneau and James Paxton; the father to a beautiful son, Nicholas; along with other relatives and friends. His memory will be shared by his Uncle Bob Thompson and cousins, Brad, Mike Lisa, Doni, Melissa, Malia, Chad, Ben, Brandy, Michelle, Jessica and good friend, Chris Thomas. Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty and Donald Thompson; uncles, Bill, John and Ron Thompson; aunts, Nancy Thompson and Donna Morneau and cousin, Mark Thompson. Eric had a unique personality that was appreciated by all that understood it. His interests were diverse and included spirituality, poetry, travel, Native American culture, literature, art, nature and he was a true fan of the Grateful Dead. He was a gentle giant who had love for just about all he came into contact with. He will be greatly missed by all.  No services are planned at this time. If you have the heart to donations may be made to The National Alliance of Mental Illness Stark County, 121 Cleveland Ave., S.W., Canton, Ohio 44702.
