Gail D. Metheney

     Gail D. Metheney, 76, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 6, 2026.  She was born in Barberton to the late Dennis and Marian Burke.  Gail graduated from Barberton High School and retired from Norton City Schools as a bus driver with 27 years of service.  She was a resident of Norton for 50 years and was a member of Barberton First Evangelical Lutheran Church.

     Preceded in death by her husband, Dennis G. Metheney (12/28/2025); sister, Gwen Burke and granddaughter, Elissa Garland. 

     Gail is survived by her children, Jill (Kenny) Price and Dennis (Elizabeth) Metheney; grandchildren, Kenny, Kara, Ean and Ethan; great-grandchildren, J.J., Steven, Hunter and Malachi; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

     Gail’s funeral service will held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton with Pastor Erik Swanson officiating.  Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m.
