Guy Walker, 97, passed away at home on Friday, February 17, 2023 after living a full and happy life. He was a self-made man who began his career changing light bulbs at Babcock & Wilcox, worked his way up and assisted in the production of Jumbo, a WWII bomb developed by B&W in the 1940’s. He went on to own a gas station, then he and his brother began building garages in Kenmore. He was President of Waterloo Home Supply for 25 years then opened his own business, Topcraft Inc., building commercial cabinets and countertops. Topcraft was his pride and joy for 45 years until he stopped working at the age of 93. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time in southwest Florida, boating, fishing and golfing. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Moeller and seven siblings. Guy leaves behind his dedicated wife, Sylvia; his daughter, Guyla Aanested and son Guy Walker Jr.; stepchildren, Stacy Maczko, Shelly McManamon (Bill) and Todd Ondecker; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with other family members and friends. The family would like to thank Ohio Living Hospice for the care and support they showed towards Guy and his family. Guy’s funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 2 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton with Deacon Robin Adair officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends and family from 1 p.m. until time of his service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Humane Society of Summit County.
