Hazel Yates Marcum

Hazel Yates Marcum, 96, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024. She was born on December 25, 1927 in Virginia. Hazel was a resident of Barberton for 50 years, moving to Dover 12 years ago. She retired from Nabisco after 20 years of service. Preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Marcum; daughter, Mary Kathryn Dillion; sister, Pauline Crawford; brothers, Don Yates, Eugene Yates and Estel Yates Jr. Hazel is survived by her children, Patricia McCarty of Dover, Fay Bolger of Mogadore, Jessie Marcum of Canal Fulton, Danny Marcum of Belle, West Virginia, Viola (Sam) Skeens of Grove City, Ohio and George (Vi) Marcum of Akron; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie Hackney of Ogen, Utah and Shirley Moore of Brookpark, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews. Hazel’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, with Pastor Faron Cole officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until time of her service.
