Iva "Jean" Wickwire

Iva “Jean” Wickwire, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. She was born April 16, 1936 in Davis, West Virginia and was a resident of Barberton for 53 years.  Jean retired from Lawsons with 26 years of service. She was an active member of the Barberton First Baptist Church where she participated in the Missionary Circle, Prayer Chain and the Goldenaires. Preceded in death by her husbands, James M. Smith and Ed Wickwire and son, James Smith.Jean is survived by her children, Leroy (Linda) Smith and Jeana Fern; grandchildren, Bill Smith, Brad Fern, Martyne (Tom) McCleary, Megan Fern, Cory (Shaina) Smith, Joseph Smith, Emily Taylor, Lydia (Anthony) Martin and Rachael (Brad) Snyder; 12 great-grandchildren; eight siblings and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral service for Jean will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 at 12 Noon at the Barberton First Baptist Church, 254 6th Street, N.W., Barberton 44203 with Pastor Mike Prebynski officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the church.
