Jacqueline Mace Kozarevic, 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. Born on June 2, 1942, in Barberton, Ohio, Jackie was a dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her faith was central to her life. She was an encourager and prayer warrior for her husband, children and grandchildren who were her greatest joy. She also found much happiness and companionship with many pets she had throughout her life. Education and continued learning was a fundamental part of who she was. After receiving her BS and MS degrees from The University of Akron, she began her teaching career at R.G. Drage Career Center in the business department and taught continuing education classes at Wayne College. She found much joy and fulfillment working with teenagers academically and in turn became a role model to so many. It was also important to her to give back to the community by belonging to many philanthropic clubs and organizations holding leadership roles in most. Upon retirement, she found much enjoyment traveling with her husband, Tom, her life-long love and companion of 58 years, throughout the continental United States. She will be remembered as a woman of faith who displayed God’s love to her husband and family and to all she met. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Lucille Mac; brother, Thomas Russell Mace; she leaves behind, husband, Thomas Kozarevic of Barberton, Ohio; daughter, Jay Anne (Pete) Medure of Cranberry Twp, Pennsylvania; sons, Thomas Eric Kozarevic of Akron, Ohio and Todd (Jennifer) Kozarevic of Norton, Ohio; grandchildren, Andrew (Jerica) Medure, Thomas Medure and Lauren Medure of Cranberry, Twp, Pennsylvania, Garrett Blaze of Northfield, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Kaysea Marshall, Sage Medure and Cleo Medure of Cranberry Twp, Pennsylvania; brother, Roger (Ann) Mace of Pickerington, Ohio; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom were special and dearly loved. The family expresses thanks to the staff at Cleveland Clinic/Akron General, Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation Hospital, The Inn at CoalRidge and Harmony Hospice for their compassion and care. Don’t weep for me For I’ve made it home Through Heaven’s gates There I may roam. Wipe your tears And dry your eyes I’m in a better place With Heaven as my prize. Don’t weep for me No tears and no sorrow Live life for Jesus He promises tomorrow. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 10-11am with a private family service at 11am at Campfield-Hickman-Collier Home with Pastor John Henninger officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
