James Barnes Obituary

James G. Barnes, 84, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024. He was born in Barberton on January 20, 1940 and was a graduate of Norton High School, Class of 1958. He retired from PPG Industries. James enjoyed bowling and was an avid Elvis fan and supporter of the Cleveland Browns. He enjoyed meeting his “Buddies” at Dave’s Diner. Preceded in death his parents, Millard and Emma Barnes; wife, Patricia K. Barnes; brothers, Robert, Dennis and George Barnes and sister, Jean Sovlansky. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Following James’ wishes cremation has taken place. He will be laid to rest with his wife, Patricia at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
