James "Jim" E. Eicher

With heavy hearts, we share that our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, James “Jim” E. Eicher, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026.

He passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. While our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing he is now at peace in his heavenly home. We are deeply grateful for the life he lived, the love he shared, and the legacy of faith, generosity, and devotion to family that he leaves behind.

Jim will be remembered as a man of strong faith, a devoted leader of his family, and someone who deeply cherished the people he loved. Throughout his life, he was actively involved in his church community and found great joy in serving others. Known for his sense of humor, Jim had a gift for making people laugh and feel welcome wherever he went. He enjoyed rebuilding classic cars, golfing, playing card games with family and friends, and investing in the lives of those around him. His generosity, wisdom, and kind spirit touched countless lives and will never be forgotten.

Jim’s legacy lives on through his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose love and guidance will continue to be felt for generations to come.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 19, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 636 W. Park Ave., Barberton, Ohio. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the church.
