Jane V. Griffin

Jane V. Griffin, 70, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023. She was born in Akron, Ohio on November 5, 1952 to the late Jack and Mary (Seay) Swinehart. Jane graduated from Coventy High School, Class of 1971. She was a loving wife, dedicated mother and an amazing grandmother and great-grandmother. Jane leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Dennis H. Griffin of Akron, Ohio, whom she married on August 29, 2003. Her brother, Richard Swinehart of Alabama; son, James Dugan the fifth. Step-daughters, Chris Blair, Jaime Griffin and Denise Williams of Akron, Ohio. Grandchildren, Chasity McIntosh, Jena Dugan, Jaymee Dugan, Craig Dugan, Reanna (Conner) Barrick, Mitchell Blair, Shayna Blair, Kasey Biddle, Logan Thompson, Darshun Williams, Alexis Williams, Alivia Williams, Alexzandra Williams and Aliyah Williams of Akron, Ohio. Also nine great-grandchildren. Per Jane’s wishes a cremation has taken place. A private funeral service for family and friends officiated by Pastor Rev. Ron Shultz will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023 at South Arlington United Methodist Church, 790 South Arlington St., Akron, Ohio 44306 followed by a celebration of life in the church hall. Condolences and cards can be sent to Dennis H.
